A type of mastopathy is unique to insulin-dependent diabetic patients. The pathogenesis of this condition is believed to involve an autoimmune reaction to the accumulation of abnormal matrix induced by hyperglycemia. Patients present with clinically suspicious fibrous breast lumps; these are commonly multiple, bilateral, and recurrent. Diabetic mastopathy is neither malignant nor precancerous condition and, therefore, should be treated conservatively, means of mastitis .Once the diagnosis is confirmed, the seal tend simply left alone.Surgical removal of mastitis may be an option, but it should be a woman’s choice.Recurrence after surgical removal typically quite high, about 32%, and usually within five years after surgery.Breast does not go away by itself, unfortunately, but since there is no evidence in support of breast cancer from a diabetic mastopathy, surgery should be avoided. India has over 62 million people with diabetes. A cross-sectional comparative design was employed. Of these, 55 per cent were female and 49 per cent were black; the mean age was 53 years. Two weeks later, participants completed the knowledge assessment a third time. Participants were evaluated just before and 3 months after the education program.
