Lets see, to get it out of the way, bitter melon is not a panacea, it is very mild (and thus requires a careful diet, at least in my experience) and is not as powerful as some pharmeceuticals such as glucophage, though I will say I’ve NEVER had a problem with abnormally low blood sugar levels (unlike some people I know who take glucophage and similar drugs.)  I do have regular tests for liver function, and yes, I have checked (by reducing/eliminating doses) bitter melon actually does aid blood glucose control (and very effetively) at least for me, and I would need some medication wiithout it, so I’m not just fooling myself into thinking it works.
