At the time of OGTT, we measured: fasting plasma glucose, fasting lipids profile and determined ApoE polymorphisms to evaluate the effects on lipid levels. This study was designed to evaluate these two screening tests in identifying women with abnormal glucose tolerance in pregnancy. Venous whole blood glucose values were measured in the fasting state and in samples obtained 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 and 120 min after oral intake of 75 g glucose.
